mediterraneo

17 Marzo, 2016

The IPCAM Project represents a proposal drafted by the Italian Civil Protection Department, in cooperation with Eutalia, the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) and the Tunisian Office National de la Protection Civile, Ministère de l’Intérieur for Eu co-financing of actions aimed at improving the capacities for emergency response and thus ensure more effective protection of risk prone population in Tunisia.

To this end, the Project provides a platform to intensify and strengthen working relations, co-operation, transfer of know-how and best practices in the field of preparedness measures at cross-border Italy-Tunisia and regional/bilateral levels.

The Project will be conducted over a period of 2 years: the first part of the project will focus on the development of risk and capacity assessment of national disaster management players, including CP volunteers in the disaster response and on the preparation of the programs and materials for training modules; the second part will be dedicated to the implementation of the training programme targeting a number of experts (both technical and rapid needs assessment experts and coordination experts); the third part will be focused on the development of two pilot projects (in country’s high risk prone areas including touristic sites) for integrating emergency/risk communication, mass evacuation and assistance to displaced population into local response plans and the cross-border and regional co-operation dimension.

The three authorities/agencies will share their knowledge and experts putting at the disposal of the Project their own structures and facilities when needed so as to benefit from each other. Eutalia is the partner of the consortium in charge of the administrative and financial management, as well as the organization of training and events.
