The Project purpose is to protect human health by strengthening the Ministry of Health both at the Public Health Institution of Turkey and the Public Health Directorates in 81 Provinces, in the field of drinking water to build institutional capacity for risk assessment, early warning and management of emergency cases in line with EU Drinking Water Legislation (98/83/EC).

The project activities (200.000 euro) include :

  • improve the Risk assessment capacity of Ministry of Health in the specific sector
  • develop ready to use methodologies for identifying contamination in drinking water
  • supporting Early warning capacity of the Ministry of Health
  • improving the emergency case management capacity of the Ministry of Health in drinking water.

Eutalia supported the Italian High Institute for Public Health in drafting the Project proposal, the work plan and budget and, in its role of Mandated body, was responsible for administrative and logistics support, including during training and visibility events, as well as contractual, administrative and financial management during contract implementation.
